President
As President of GenCap Construction Corp, Rob provides oversight support with the project team and ensures that the Owner’s goals are realized, through a culture of open and transparent communication. Rob’s top priority is to grow and develop GenCap’s business reach through exceptional experiences with our customers. Rob is engaged with all cost estimate reviews, schedule reviews, site logistics planning and subcontractor price negotiations which support the most cost-effective solution for the Owner. During his 27-year tenure in construction, Rob has served in various leadership positions such as Chief Estimator, Project Executive and Director of Design Phase Solutions. Rob has professionally spoken on Progressive Design-Build and GCCM alternative project delivery, Lean Practices and Integrated Project Delivery at AIA, DBIA, University of Washington, Washington State University and Society of American Military Engineers. Rob graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. degree in Construction Management and is a certified DBIA Professional.
Rob joined GenCap in 2017 with more than 25+ years of construction experience holding a variety of leadership positions while focusing on a wide range of product types. As a result, Rob possesses extensive knowledge in both public and private markets with expertise in mixed use/multi family, higher education, sports, water/waste-water treatment, hotel/hospitality and laboratory/bio science market sectors. This comprehensive experience grants Rob a unique perspective of many project delivery models, contributing to the overall growth and success of GenCap and our customers. Rob serves as Chair on the Construction Industry Advisory Council for the University of Washington, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington. Rob was also an appointed member of the Project Review Committee which serves under the CPARB state of Washington legislative arm, to ensure that alternative project delivery applications meet the intent of statute RCW 39.10.
